LifeBASE Teen Coach Little Rock

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the LifeBASE Supervisor, the LifeBASE Coach will: 

  • Coach Youth - Support youth from crisis and their family in the LifeBASE Teen program, walking with them as they achieve sufficiency in the areas of Well Being, At Least One (Healthy Relationships), Stable Housing, and Earning Potential, effectively utilizing Immerse Arkansas’ Overcomer process in a way that upholds Immerse values.  

  • Enrich Youth and Family - Provide opportunities for positive interaction, healthy connection, growth, and fulfillment through consistent youth and family-centered activities and events. 

  • Implement Program Development - In close collaboration with others, support program design, implementation, evaluation, and enhancement of the LifeBASE Teen model and future growth, particularly as this new site continues to develop. 

  • Engage in Team and Personal Development - Continually seek opportunities for growth, understanding, and balance to maintain health, both individually and as a member of the Immerse Arkansas team. Promote teamwork through collaboration, support, and communication.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking skills. 

  • Strong people skills. Able to form effective working relationships with a wide range of people.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to drive multiple simultaneous projects to completion.

  • Has a strong desire to walk with youth ages 14-18 no matter what they are going through. 

  • Is “hungry” to see youth heal. 

  • Wants to do “whatever it takes” to see youth and families succeed. 

  • Is emotionally humble and smart- has a high emotional intelligence. 

  • Sees their work as worship and has a growing relationship with Jesus. 

  • Have at least a bachelor's degree in a social service related field. 

  • Have experience working with homeless transitional age youth. 

  • Must demonstrate a commitment to the value of cultural competency. 

  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Must be willing and able to travel within the assigned region on a daily basis. 

  • Must successfully complete a background check and drug screen. 

  • Must maintain current certification in CPR, First Aid, and other certifications as determined by the program.

Immerse Arkansas was founded in 2010 with the mission of helping transform youth from crisis into overcomers. The nonprofit organization serves youth between the ages of 14 and 24, whose past trauma and challenges have created barriers to becoming independent, healthy, successful adults. 

Immerse Arkansas works with youth and families to address the underlying trauma resulting from abuse or neglect. We believe that when we surround youth from crisis with unconditional relationships, a vision for their restored future, and tools that anticipate their needs and dreams, we create a climate for healing, growth, and transformation.

Immerse is a collaboration of redemptive innovators who pair ambitious faith with strategy in all pursuits, especially anything labeled as “impossible.” We’re hungry for healing for all, and we’re especially interested in those who have been counted out. We are looking for someone who fits that description to lead one of our programs working directly with youth from crisis ages 14-24. The LifeBASE Teen program works primarily with youth ages 14-18 who are in foster care or have been adopted and their family. The goal is to help ensure those youth are able to transition into adulthood as whole, resilient adults. The LifeBASE Teen Coach is a full-time, salaried position. This position is for our Little Rock, AR location.
